PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress, in use of a fluorescent lamp in a high-temperature environment, rise of lamp voltage and prevent a lighting failure by operation of an inverter protective circuit.;SOLUTION: In the fluorescent lamp 10 comprising a U-shaped light emitting tube 300 sealing amalgam 310, an end part of the light emitting tube 300 is extended to set a cooling part 500. When mercury vapor pressure in the light emitting tube 300 is raised during lighting in a high-temperature state, the cooling part 300 is cooled with the outside air to condense the mercury vapor, generating liquid mercy, whereby the rise of lamp voltage is prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
