PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool having properties improved for metallic mechanical machining equipped on a surface of cemented carbide, and a hard and wear resisting coating on a surface of a base material.;SOLUTION: The coating is deposited by physical vapor deposition (PVD). The coat is made from metal nitride combined with alumina (Al2O3). The coating is made from a structure which is a thin layer and multilayer.
