PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a high-strength stud welding which gives a sufficient pressure to a part to be welded during the discharge on the surface of a non-flat sheet metal.;SOLUTION: The capacity discharge type stud welding gun is provided with: an electrode slide rod and a spring for urging the rod forward in a welding gun body; a chuck part for chucking a member to be welded and an electrode slide rod guide on a fore-end of the electrode slide rod. The spring includes: a front spring arranged in front of the electrode slide rod guide; and a rear spring arranged via a rear spring stopper with a space backwardly from a rear end of the electrode slide rod. A switch depressing unit to turn on a welding switch by the backward movement of the electrode slide rod is provided, the front springs depresses the electrode slide rod forwards, then the electrode slide rod colliides against a rear stopper in an accelerated manner to turn on the welding switch, then the discharge current is outputted. A part of the electrode slide rod collides against an abutting part of the welding gun body in an accelerated manner at the timing before a molten pool is solidified.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
