PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical DSB-SC modulation system capable of obtaining high-extinction-ratio modulation by suppressing a carrier signal (or high-order component signal).;SOLUTION: The optical double sideband suppressed carrier modulation system (1) of the present invention is equipped with an optical double sideband suppressed carrier modulator (2), an optical modulator (3) including a phase modulator or/and an intensity modulator for modulating the output light of the optical double sideband suppressed carrier modulator, and a control part (4) for adjusting modulation times of a modulated signal of the optical double sideband suppressed carrier modulator and a modulated signal of the phase modulator or intensity modulator.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
