PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water repellent which is prepared by using a fluoroalkylsilane as the base water-repellent material, is a stable aqueous system, and is highly safe, low in cost, and excellent in durability. ;SOLUTION: The one-part aqueous water-repellent agent is prepared by compounding (A) 0.001-5.0 wt.% fluoroalkylsilane represented by the general formulas: CF3(CF2)nCH2CH2Si(OR)3 and CF3(CF2)nCH2CH2SiCH3(OR)2 (wherein (n) is 5-8; and R is CH3 or C2H5), (B) 0.01-5.0 wt.% alkanolamine, (C) 1-60.0 wt.% alcoholic solvent capable of dissolving ingredient A, (D) 0.0001-5.0 wt.% caustic alkali, and (E) 0.1-95.0 wt.% water.
