PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for rapidly and surely manufacturing sawtooth and total steel card clothing for treating strands for fabrics without deteriorating the quality thereof.;SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing sawtooth card clothing and total steel card clothing for treating strands for fabrics during carding treatment, a raw material of a wire is continuously formed with teeth in succession in the longitudinal direction of the raw material for the wire, and thus the sawtooth wire is manufactured. Then, the teeth elongate to a direction crossing the longitudinal direction in such a manner that they separate from a base region. The sawtooth wire manufactured by the method is subjected to hardening treatment at least in the region of the teeth. The hardening treatment is performed in a state that oxygen is removed in the region of the sawtooth wire. Preferably, the sawtooth wire passes through a heating chamber.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
