URETERAL STENT EQUIPPED WITH SMALL BLADDER TAIL

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid discomfort of a patient and urine from flowing reversely to the upstream toward the kidney. PSOLUTION: A ureteral stent which helps the flow of urine includes: a coil-shaped end region extending distally from an upper region of a tubular segment so as to be placed approximately in the renal cavity when the ureteral stent is used; and an almost straight, thin flexible elongated tail which is tapered to have smaller outer diameters from the lower region of the tubular segment in order to receive urine from a lower region of the tubular segment to transport urine along a urine-transport surface and includes a continuous junction from an external surface of the lower region of the tubular segment to the urine-transport surface of the thin flexible tail, and has an external urine-transport surface.
