PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-layer polyimide film for a laminate which shows efficient film-forming properties without the generation of a breakage during forming a film and also outstanding release strength.;SOLUTION: This multi-layer polyimide film is manufactured by superposing two kinds of polyamic acids in three layers while the acids are in the form of a solution and casting the melt over a support to obtain a self-supporting polyamic acid film and thermally imidating the film. In addition, the polyamic acid to be used for a center layer shows a specific coefficient of thermal expansion and a specific storage elastic modulus. Further, the polyamic acid to be used for both surface layers has a specific coefficient of thermal expansion and a specific glass transition temperature.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
