PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability among a claimant, a payer and a settlement agency and to improve convenience of electronic settlement.;SOLUTION: A settlement terminal 1 on a payer side generates a first electronic code on the basis of payment information, a payment recipient code and card information and transmits it to the settlement agency 50. The settlement agency 50 verifies whether or not the payer and the card information are legitimate on the basis of the first electronic code. When approved by the settlement agency 50, the settlement terminal 1 receives a second electronic code including an approval code from the settlement agency 50 and transmits the second electronic code to a claimant terminal 40. The claimant terminal 40 transmits the second electronic code to the settlement agency 50. The settlement agency 50 verifies whether or not a demand for payment is legitimate from the first electronic code and the second electronic code and executes payment processing when it is legitimate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
