IC CARD, ATM AND IDENTITY AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card, an ATM and an identity authentication system, capable of preventing unauthorized withdrawal of deposit from the ATM. PSOLUTION: This IC card has a storage means, provided with a keyword information storage area for storing a keyword as authenticating information utilized for next financial transaction processings using the ATM. The ATM has a means of generating keywords as the authenticating information used in time of the next financial transaction processing, after the financial transaction processings using the IC card have been performed; a means of displaying the keyword in a journal; a means of writing the keyword into the storage means of the IC card; an input means of inputting the keyword by a user; a means of reading the keyword stored in the IC card; a collation means of collating inputted keyword information and keyword information read from the IC card; and a means of authenticating the user as the principal, when the result of the collation is a matching.
