PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive measuring quantity display mechanism capable of regularly clearly displaying a measuring quantity and easily and accurately inputting a display quantity to a recording device to improve the efficiency of measuring quantity recording work, and a measuring instrument, a flow meter, a mass flowmeter and an energy meter comprising the measuring quantity display mechanism.;SOLUTION: The measuring quantity display mechanism 10 comprises a plurality of rotary display members 12a, 12b, 12c and 12d rotating according to a measuring quantity, and different bar codes 14 provided in a plurality of positions separated in the circumferential direction of the outer circumferential surface of each rotary display member. The measuring instrument comprises a measuring means for measuring a quantity and the measuring quantity display mechanism 10 for displaying the measured quantity. The flowmeter and the mass flowmeter comprise a flow or mass flow measuring means for measuring a flow rate or a mass flow rate and the measuring quantity display mechanism 10 for displaying the measured flow rate or mass flow rate.
