PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that addition of a stabilization element causes heat generation and becomes an obstacle of power saving.;SOLUTION: In the backlight driving circuit comprising; a switching power supply; a micro computer for outputting a signal indicating lighting-on of the backlight; a backlight lighting-on circuit for lighting the backlight on, according to the signal indicating lighting-on of the backlight; a switch for supplying an output voltage of the switching power supply to the backlight lighting-on circuit with later timing than start-up of the switching power supply by switching on according to the signal indicating lighting-on of the backlight; and a stabilization element for preventing that an output voltage of the switching power supply becomes unstable as the switch is off, driving the stabilization element is stopped according to the signal indicating lighting-on of the backlight.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
