PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multichannel sound pickup device, a multichannel sound reproducing device, and a multichannel sound pickup and reproducing device that changes zooming of a sound during reproduction. PSOLUTION: The multichannel sound pickup device comprises: a multichannel sound pickup section 111 which picks up sounds arriving from a photography direction and its peripheral directions; an analog-to-digital conversion section 112 which converts the picked-up sounds of respective channels into digital signals; a pickup sound signal recording and read-out section 120 which stores and reads out the digital sounds of the respective channels by the channels separately from a zoom control signal; a mode changeover switch 122 for switching reproduction modes of the sounds of the respective channels that the pickup sound signal recording and read-out section 120 reads out; and a gain control section 123 which controls gains of the sounds of the respective channels according to the mode changeover switch 122. The device is configured to reproduce sounds in the zoom state of the photography when the mode changeover switch 122 is ON, and in a zoom state that a user desires when it is OFF.
