PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems such as aggregation of silver halide grains which occurs in an organic solvent system while retaining the merits of a photosensitive silver halide grain emulsion using a natural polymer such as conventional gelatin as protective colloid, and to provide a method for preparing a photosensitive emulsion which ensures low fog and high image density, has high sensitivity and excels in storage stability and a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material using the same, by uniformizing the dispersion distribution of silver halide grains and fatty acid silver salt particles.;SOLUTION: In a precipitation and separation method for a photosensitive silver halide grain dispersion using a natural polymer as protective colloid, separation is carried out by adding an organic polymer the logarithm (logP) of an n-octanol/water distribution coefficient of which is 0.8-2.0 to the dispersion and mixing those.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
