PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide catching implement for baseball or softball and catching implement for an infielder or an outfielder for base ball or softball which are excellent in operability or stability by taking the balance of the catching implement into consideration when designing, and their design method.;SOLUTION: In the design method of the catching implement for baseball or softball provided with a thumb bag 2 for receiving the thumb of a user, finger bags 4, 5, 6 and 7 for receiving fingers other than the thumb of the user, a web part 3 and an opening 8 for inserting the hand of the user, the moment of inertia is adjusted by distributing mass with the rotation center of the catching implement when catching a ball as a reference.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
