PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-protected zeolite membrane and a dehydrator using the zeolite membrane.;SOLUTION: A construction for supporting a zeolite membrane to contact an organic solvent has a zeolite membrane coated with an organic thin film on the outermost surface to contact the organic solvent. The dehydration method for an organic solvent dehydrates the organic solvent using the above construction. The dehydrator for an organic solvent is equipped with the above construction having a zeolite membrane coated with an organic thin film on the outermost surface to contact the organic solvent.
