PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroconductive fiber material having proper electrical resistivity and electroconductivity, low in a rate of change of the electrical resistivity of the electroconductive fiber material due to increase of temperature, and excellent in adhesion between the fiber material and the electroconductive composition, and to provide a planar heating element comprising the electroconductive fiber material. PSOLUTION: The electroconductive fiber material is obtained by covering a fiber material with an electroconductive composition comprising 100 pts.wt. polyurethane, 30-60 pts.wt. carbon black, and 30-60 pts.wt. talc having 1-20 m primary mean particle diameter.
