Zn alloy and Zn alloy die-cast product null for die-cast

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Zn alloy for die-casting in which the occurrence of the defect in cavities can be suppressed, and which can be thinned.;SOLUTION: The Zn alloy for die-casting has a composition comprising, by weight, 3 to 5% Al and 0.03 to 0.06% Mg, and, if required, comprising 0.5 to 5% Cu and 0.01 to 1.0% of one or more kinds of rare earth elements as well, and the balance Zn with inevitable impurities. The Zn alloy for die-casting is excellent in fluidity of molten metal on die-casting. Further, in a Zn alloy die-cast product produced by using the Zn alloy for die-casting, the defect in cavities is remarkably reduced, the defect in surfaces and the detect in blistering are reduced, and mechanical properties such as strength, elongation and a Young's modulus are improved. Thus, the productivity improves, the yield is made satisfactory, and thinning equal to or that for the conventional product is made possible.
