PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power feeding method using a split current transformer capable of supplying electric power to a carrier which advances into an retreats from a moving body without having to install feeding cables, current collecting rail, etc., to the moving path of the moving body and a carrier system applying the method. SOLUTION: A primary core 6 is provided near the connecting position of a track 2 to a moving body 5 and a secondary core 7 is provided to the moving section 5a of the moving body 5. Electric power is supplied to the primary core 6 from an AC power source 3 via a feeder 4 laid along the track 2 and, when the moving body 5 arrives at the connecting position, the secondary core 7 is positioned close to the primary core 6, as well as electric power is supplied to the driving section of a carrier 1, which advances into or retreats from the moving body 5 by means of the current flowing to an electric wire 8 installed to the secondary core 7.
