PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely block intrusion of dust or a water drop into a sheet discharge opening by preventing a drip-proof sheet from cracking even if cutting of a sheet is repeated.;SOLUTION: The dust-proof and drip-proof sheet cutter 30 comprises a flexible drip-proof sheet 12 for openably/closably closing the sheet discharge opening 8 for discharging a recording sheet S, a paper cutter 11 located rather on the inside of the sheet discharge opening 8 as compared with the drip-proof sheet and cutting the recording sheet abutting against the forward end thereof, a member located on the outside of the sheet discharge opening 8 and receiving the recording sheet discharged from the sheet discharge opening 8 and tilted to the paper cutter 11 side with the forward end thereof as a fulcrum. A space H defined by the outside of the sheet discharge opening 8, the receiving member and the tilted recording sheet is wide enough to contain the part of a rib 9c tilted to the paper cutter 11 side by the tilted recording sheet under such a state as that part is separated from the outside of the sheet discharge opening 8.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
