PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a shortage of capacity of a database with a constitution for expanding a secured area.;SOLUTION: A use area check part 121 for database processors 101-10n output used capacity data indicating a used capacity. The total management apparatus 201 stores the used capacity data in a storage 401 as increase history data 211 when they are inputted, reads the increase history data 211, and generates predicted used capacity data 212 after a period N. The total management apparatus 201 calculates Σ (a shortage of capacity) of each of databases 111 to data base 11n, a total sum Σ of the secured capacity (secured capacity), and a total capacity Z - the total sum Σ (secured capacity) = a remaining capacity. When the remaining capacity is not ≥Σ (a shortage of capacity), the apparatus repeats subtractions until the remaining capacity becomes ≥Σ (a shortage of capacity).
