Mobile user terminal and electronic notification method of to-do list item

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for alerting a user of an item on a to-do list if the user is detected to be close to the item's performance location.;SOLUTION: Each to-do item is entered from a mobile user terminal. Using a GPS interface, the mobile terminal compares with the to-do list item locations and provides a notification to the user whenever the user passes within a proximity distance and a particular criteria is satisfied. In response to the notification, the user transmits a 'confirmed' state or a 'completed' state. A to-do list may be shared by multiple terminals and notifications and status fags for the to-do list item are shared among the multiple terminals to update the to-do list.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
