PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excitation control device for a synchronous generator capable of operating the synchronous generator with a manual voltage regulator irrelevant to remaining voltage of the synchronous generator.;SOLUTION: This excitation control device for the synchronous generator has an automatic voltage adjuster which adjusts voltage for a permanent magnet generator coaxially connected with the synchronous generator, and supplies field current to a synchronous generator field winding; and a rectifier which lowers voltage of the permanent magnet generator, converts a divided voltage into DC, and supplies the field current to the field winding of the synchronous generator, thus operating the synchronous generator with the manual voltage control, using a voltage of the permanent magnet generator as a power source even when the remaining voltage for the synchronous generator is small.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
