PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust dynamic pressure bearing inexpensive and easy to work, and capable of stably generating large dynamic pressure.;SOLUTION: A dynamic pressure generating groove 1 has the same width anywhere in the extending direction of the groove 1. Thus, the groove 1 is easily worked only by making a mealing travel once. The ratio of a width of the groove 1 to an adjacent hill 2 of the groove 1 is set to 2:1 to 1:5.
