PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a thin double refraction film, which includes a liquid crystal compound double refraction layer and another double refraction layer, employing a small number of processes.;SOLUTION: In the method, a non-liquid crystal polymer double refraction layer that is orientation processed is used as an orientation layer for the liquid crystal compound.
