PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording medium which has an ink receiving layer comprising a casein-containing coating, and is excellent in water resistance of an image part without spoiling gloss.;SOLUTION: An inkjet cast coated paper is provided with at least one ink receiving layer on at least one face of a base paper. The ink receiving layer is a glossy layer which is formed by providing a coating layer by coating an aqueous coating liquid with a pH of 8-11 comprising a binder comprising a pigment and casein and a first cationic polymer, coating the coating layer with a coagulating liquid comprising a coagulating agent and a second cationic polymer to perform coagulating treatment, and then, drying the coating layer by pressure contacting it on a heated mirror surface finishing face while the coating layer is under a wet condition.
