The washing water contains an alkali metal ion in such a content as to have an electric conductivity of 80-220 μS/cm, has a pH of 7 and ≤8, and substantially does not contain the other cations (except those derived from water molecules). In the washing method of a shaped glass for a glass optical device, this washing water is used for the washing process. In the manufacturing method of the shaped glass for the washed glass optical device, the washing water is used for washing.
