PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional image reconstruction processing method of a positron CT device, capable of avoiding image quality deterioration caused by resolution decline or S/N ratio decline, while reducing a data storage quantity in three-dimensional data collection processing and shortening a time from inspection start until imaging finish, and to provide the positron CT device.;SOLUTION: In this method/device, the data storage quantity can be reduced and the time from inspection start until imaging finish can be shortened, since addition/reading-out of a sub-sinogram group and image reconstruction are performed in parallel with the three-dimensional data collection processing. Simultaneously, since the three-dimensional image reconstruction processing in a successive approximation processing system does not accompany conversion from three-dimensional data into two-dimensional data, resolution decline caused by a conversion error from the three-dimensional data into the two-dimensional data can be avoided, and in the three-dimensional image reconstruction processing in the successive approximation processing system wherein processing for suppressing S/N ratio decline such as absorption correction processing can be integrated directly, since processing for suppressing the S/N ratio decline is not required to be integrated indirectly, the S/N ratio decline caused by indirect integration of the processing for suppressing S/N ratio decline can be also avoided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
