PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Sn-based metal plated steel sheet having superior appearance provided with an attractive surface free from uneven brightness, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor.;SOLUTION: The Sn-based metal plated steel sheet with superior appearance comprises a pre-plated layer of a Ni-based metal (Ni, a Ni-Sn alloy, a Ni-Zn alloy, a Ni-Fe alloy and a Ni-Co alloy) and an Sn-based metal layer (an Sn-Zn alloy) plated thereon, wherein lines for Ni and Fe emission intensities obtained by glow discharge atomic emission spectrochemical analysis for the surface of the plated steel sheet, satisfy T1≥T2 (T1: a sputtering time in the peak of the line for the Ni emission intensity, and T2: a sputtering time in the inflection point of the line for the Fe emission intensity), or T1≥T2 and 1≤T1/T2≤1.5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
