PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for straightly reforming high strength copper alloys in a satisfactory way, and easily obtaining high strength copper alloy rods having high straightness.;SOLUTION: High strength copper alloy rods 11 are filled into a reforming vessel 1 having a circumferential wall 6 made of a ferrous metallic material elongating to the longitudinal direction of the copper alloy rods 11, and in which the vertical cross-section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction forms a fixed shape in a state where both edge parts are arranged properly, and also, in a state where they are compactly put together. Then, heating and holding are carried out under the conditions of 200 to 500°C×5 min to 5 hr, so that the copper alloy rods 11 are reformed into a straight shape parallel to the circumferential wall 6. The circumferential wall 6 of the reforming vessel 1 consists of a horizontal wall 6a and a pair of vertical walls 6b and 6c rising from both the sides thereof.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
