PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel silica brick for hot repair improved in thermal spalling resistance, more particularly thermal impact resistance at a high temperature above 500°C and a method of manufacturing the same. ;SOLUTION: This silica brick for hot repair consists of 40 to 70 wt.% silica stone below 1 mm in grain size and 60 to 30 wt.% molten quartz above 0.5 mm in grain size.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
