PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive which has a color when the adhesive is applied to an adherend and is decolored with the lapse of time, a pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive tape coated with the adhesive, and a coating film transfer tool using the tape. PSOLUTION: The pressure-sensitive adhesive contains microcapsules encapsulating at least one of a coloring material and a substance (a decolorant), wherein the coloring material is colored by reacting a leuco-dyestuff with a color developing agent, and the substance acts on the coloring material and has an effect of decoloring the material. The decolorant is a lactate. The pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive tape is given by coating a base material with the pressure-sensitive adhesive.
