PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum controller for a condenser capable of operating the condenser to return automatically a degree of vacuum in the condenser to the vicinity of a degree of design vacuum, when the degree of vacuum in the condenser is elevated by reduction of a sea water temperature, and capable of enhancing performance of a steam turbine, and a method therefor, and a steam turbine plant.;SOLUTION: In this vacuum controller for the condenser provided with an evacuation device 16 for sucking gas in the condenser by a vacuum pump 18 to maintain an inside of the condenser in a vacuum state, a vacuum regulating tube 21 is provided to be branched in a portion in an upstream side of the suction pump 18 in a flow passage of a vacuum exhaust pipe 17, and to have the other end communicated with an outside, a vacuum regulating valve 23 is provided in the vacuum regulating tube 21, to be kept under a closed condition all the time, air is injected from an outside into the vacuum exhaust pipe 17 by opening the vacuum regulating valve 23, when the degree of vacuum in the condenser 7 gets higher than a predetermined specified vacuum degree, and the degree of vacuum in the condenser 7 is reduced to the design vacuum degree to enhance the performance of the steam turbine, by sucking the gas in the condenser and the air injected from the outside by the suction pump 18.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
