PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for stereoregular α-olefin polymerization that is prepared using a transition metal compound in the group 7 of the periodic table, a catalyst component for the stereoregular α-olefin polymerization to be used for preparing the polymerization catalyst and a method of producing stereoregular α-olefin polymer by using the polymerization catalyst.;SOLUTION: The catalyst component for stereoregular α-olefin polymerization includes a transition metal compound represented by general formula [1] or [2] [wherein M is a transition metal atom in group 7 of the periodic table; L is a neutral ligand bonding to M through an unshared electron pair or a π-electron; Z represents a group represented by the formula (wherein Z¹ is an atom in group 13-15; Z² is an atom in group 13-15; and Z³ is an atom in group 15; J in general formula [2] is a bridge group connecting two of Ms and h is the number of the bridges connecting two of Ms and an integer of 1-3)].;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
