PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone system capable of saving power consumption in a terminal compared with a conventional portable telephone system, and prolonging a continuous waiting time. PSOLUTION: A call control server holds an incoming call to a portable telephone terminal for a prescribed time, and continues an incoming operation only when the portable telephone terminal receives a response that an incoming call exists from the call control server. Accordingly, power consumption in radio communication is more flexibly controlled in response to the present state of the portable telephone terminal, and furthermore, a call loss rate is suppressed by buffering call information in the call control server.
