PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evade the weakness of a system and the generation of a fault between an initiator terminal and a logical unit.;SOLUTION: An IP storage system is provided with: a target portal host 132 having an NI (network interface) to be used for an iSCSI type target portal function and an NI to be used for a function of an iSCSI initiator terminal driver and capable of managing iSCSI sessions between an initiator terminal 131 and the target portal host and iSCSI sessions between the iSCSI initiator terminal driver and a target 133; and a DB 139 for managing the name of the initiator terminal 131, a connection identifier for uniquely specifying a session between the initiator terminal 131 and the target portal host 132, a connection identifier for uniquely specifying a session between the iSCSI initiator terminal driver and the target 133, and an identifier for specifying the target portal host 132.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
