PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for counting fine particles in compressed air with superior handleability capable of speedily and accurately counting fine particles in compressed air and a method capable of speedily and accurately counting fine particles in such compressed air. ;SOLUTION: The middle part of an introducing conduit 18 to introduce compressed air from a compressed air passage 38 is pressed and elastically deformed from the outside by a pressure reducing means 40 so as to reduce the cross-section of its channel. Then by reducing the quantity of flow of the compressed air downstream from the middle part, the pressure of the compressed air is reduced on the downstream side.
