Cement-based deodorizing and solidifying material and deodorizing and solidifying method

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of an odor of ammonia or the like and assure a sufficient solidification strength by using a cement and an acid arthydride as primary constituents. SOLUTION: A cement and an acid anhydride are used as primary constituents. The cement has no particular limitations as long as it can solidify sludge. For example, a common Portland cement, blast furnace cement or fly ash cement can be used. The acid anhydride undergoes a reaction with ammonia or an organic amine so as to produce an amid and deodorization effect is demonstrated by solidification, and e.g. phthalic anhydride, maleic anhydride or the like can be used. The acid anhydride may either be soluble or hardly soluble to water as long as it has a deodorizing effect against ammonia and organic amine, and can be used in either solid or liquid at an ordinary temperature. The deodorizing solidification method simultaneously uses gypsum or an alkaline metal salt together with the cement and the acid anhydride.
