PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for finding funguses attached to a wood at an early stage, objectively evaluating degradation of wood strength as the decay proceeds and preventing wood damages by the funguses, from occurring.;SOLUTION: The evaluated wood is partially collected as a sample wood piece 1 and accommodated in an airtight vessel 2 along with a culture medium 10, and after a predetermined period, the degree of wood decay is evaluated, based on the concentration of hydrogen generated from the inside of the airtight vessel 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
