PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an account book issue management method capable of automatically judging entry to an account book, the check of consistency between an account book and transaction data and the effectiveness of an issued account book. ;SOLUTION: A reading part 32 in a reading/printing part 30 optically reads out an account book 55, recognizes characters in the account book 55 and sends a recognized result to a body 10 and an account book issue management means 14 in the body 10 refers to account book management file and transaction data stored in a storage part 18 and checks whether the contents of the account book read out at present coincide with the contents of the stored transaction data or not. At the time of coincidence, entry is executed from a succeeding line, and at the time of non-coincidence, the account book management file (management data) is updated by regarding the current ledger as an invalid ledger and a ledger having the correct page concerned is newly reissued.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
