PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dam body which reduces load to a natural environment as it does not normally obstruct the flow of water in a river requiring water to be controlled by dams and shuts off the flow of the river only when the river is swollen by heavy rain, etc.;SOLUTION: The dam body for river control comprises a plurality of anchors 11, a plurality of membranes (blocking members) 12, and revetments 13, with the anchors 11 and the membranes 12 installed at intervals from an upstream point to a downstream point of an area where the water of the river flows. The revetments 13 have upper end faces 14 and wall surfaces 15 and are installed on both sides of the river. With respect to the installation position of one of the anchors 11, the other anchor 11 is disposed to form a pair on the upper end face 14 of the opposite revetment 134 across the river and along width direction. Each membrane 12 is stretched between the pair of anchors 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
