PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which a wideband signal is clipped in order to eliminate a signal overshot.;SOLUTION: The signal overshot has an amplitude larger than a predefined threshold before the wideband signal is inputted to a power amplifier. The method comprises a step i wherein filtered pulses at the same phase as the wideband signal are subtracted from the wideband signal, the filtered pulses correspond to the overshot and the amplitude of the filtered pulses depends on the corresponding overshot and the predefined threshold and a step ii wherein, regarding the wideband signal, at least the step i is repeated continuously at least two times.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
