PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimizing method for a communication path that can realize the robustness of the communication path and warrant the transmission quality.;SOLUTION: This invention provides the optimizing method for the communication path to optimally arrange a plurality of relay stations R to relay radio communication between a 1st communication station S and a 2nd communication station C and the method includes a step (a) of selecting at least either of the transmission quality and number of the communication paths between the 1st communication station and the 2nd communication station as an evaluation value when a plurality of the relay stations are arranged, a step (b) of calculating the selected evaluation value, and a step (c) of optimizing the arrangement of a plurality of the relay stations on the basis of the calculated evaluation value. When calculating the selected evaluation value in the step (b), the method obtains N-sets (N is an integer of one or more) of the most important relay stations among a plurality of the relay stations and calculates the selected evaluation value for only communication paths not passing through N-sets of the most important relay stations.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
