PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound useful as the vulcanizing agent, and an adhesive or a dispersable vulcanizing agent in a vulcanized rubber and a use corresponding thereto. ;SOLUTION: The subject derivative and intermediate are a compound in which one terminal is a tert-butyl group of formula I [(n) is 0-200], ≥80% of the number of constitutional repeating units of the hydrocarbon main chain is the one of formula I, and the other terminal is a compound of formulas II or III and a compound of formulas IV or V (acylthio-polybutenyl derivative), e.g. acetylthio-polybutenyl derivative.
