PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surveillance system for a floating body type roof gate facility equipped with an actuator for confirming if there is trouble with actuation, this confirmation being needed to safely manage or survey a sluiceway where the gate facility is installed.;SOLUTION: The surveillance system is provided with an opening detector 25 capable of detecting the opening of a gate based on the rotation of a drive shaft 20 for rotation, which shaft is mounted to a floating body type rising door 11; water gages 10 installed upstream and downstream of the sluiceway; and a means for comparing the opening of the door 11 measured by the opening detector 25 and the water gage 10 to the levels of upstream and downstream flow and determining that there is trouble with closing operation if the top height of the door 11 is at or below the level of the downstream flow when the level of the downstream flow is equal to or higher than the level of the upstream flow, or determining that there is trouble with opening operation if the tow height of the door 11 is higher than the level of the upstream flow when the level of the upstream flow is higher than the level of the downstream flow by a certain value or more.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
