PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide foil which is made of a Cu-Al-Mn based alloy free from strain and deformation caused by quenching, to provide a method of producing the same, and to provide a strain sensor which is made of the foil, and can detect large deformation.;SOLUTION: The superelastic foil is made of a Cu-Al-Mn alloy, and in which electric resistance linearly changes in proportion to strain. In the method of producing the superelastic alloy foil, the melted Cu-Al-Mn alloy is jetted on a cooling roll, and is rapidly solidified to have a foil shape. The strain sensor comprises a base, a sensor body integrally joined to the base and a lead line of applying voltage to the sensor body.
