PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air assist injector dispensing with the alteration of an injector body to retain seal rings for sealing air passages. ;SOLUTION: A retainer shroud 62 is an integral member including an interconnected end cap 64, a central seal retainer 68 and a connecting sleeve 66 provided between the end cap 64 and the seal retainer 68. The member directs air around a nozzle to atomize fuel and retains a lower seal ring 84 and a central seal ring 92 that prevent leakage from or into air passages.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
