PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain new bis-1,2,3-triazole capable of providing a gas-generating agent having a high gas generating efficiency in stead of compounds having risks producing highly toxic and unstable explosion substances. SOLUTION: Bis-1,2,3-triazole of formula I. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a hydrazine derivative of formula II (X is a halogen; R is an alkyl or an aryl) (for example, 2,2-dichloroacetoaldehyde-p- toluenesulfonylhydrazone) with 1-amino-1,2,3-triazole in the presence of a base (for example, morpholine) preferably at -30 to 100 deg.C. The compound of formula I has an excellent property as a gas-generating base agent, and thereby can provide a safe gas-generating agent having a high gas generation efficiency.
