PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber grating distortion sensor which is easily attached to a measurement object, has a high distortion transmission properties and proper distortion measurement sensitivity, since nonlinear phenomenon will not occur in distortion transmission and assures long term reliability due to superior weather resistance.;SOLUTION: An optical fiber grating distortion sensor 10 is comprised an optical fiber with an optical fiber grating part 21, where a periodic refractive index distribution structure either in the core or clad at least; a 1st lamina 30; a 2nd lamina 32; a 1st brazing material; and a 2nd brazing material. The optical fiber grating part 21 is interposed between the 1st lamina 30 and the 2nd lamina 32 via the 1st brazing material and is fused. The 2nd brazing material, having a melting point lower than that of the 1st brazing filler material, is applied to the side opposite to the side of the 1st lamina on which the optical fiber grating part is fused.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
