PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless short-distance network system and its operating method including an access point wherein movability can be supported for both a mobile host including a mobile IPv6 stack and a mobile host not including the same.;SOLUTION: The system includes a gateway for performing a home agent function in a mobile radio communication environment to provide prefix information and an access pointer that uses the prefix information of the gateway to allocate an IP address to a mobile host within an administrative area.
